Keeping one’s good health has become a common part of people’s life and life expectancy and infant mortality have always aroused the greatest concern. Model Essay

It is undoubtedly the truth that we should not hesitate to say no to unreasonable requests for help.

However, some people find it hard to say no since they hold that helping each other is well established as a traditional virtue.

As to me, responding to the requests for help without deliberate consideration will sometimes does harm to us and the major reasons are listed as follows.

Firstly, if you cannot keep your promise in that the request is beyond your ability, you will be considered dishonest and unreliable.

 

 

Secondly, if you agree to unreasonable requests, it will spoil your principles of doing things and it may also do harm to innocent people.

For example, personnel officials who promise to offer a job to his unqualified friend make the employment system unfair.

1.      Thirdly, if you give help to a criminal, you may end up committing crime as well.

2.      A case in point is that some people who help their criminal friends to cover the fact or to escape from being punished will receive well-deserved punishment.

Firstly, participating in sports can develop one’s temperament and character spiritually. For example, if a person goes in for a kind of sport in which a team is involved, he needs to learn how to cooperate with others and how to adjust himself in emergence. Should students wear uniforms?

Recently the issue of whether or not school children should wear uniforms has been in the limelight and has aroused wide concern in the public. Those who oppose it argue that uniforms prevent children’s personalities from developing, whereupon others maintain that uniforms may make children unified. Both sides of the question are well supported by sound reasons.

 

A number of causes may account for the opposition towards school uniform. Firstly, it is an important stage for children to develop their own personalities, during which adults should try to provide more room for their choices. Therefore they should not be forced to wear uniforms. Secondly, in choosing different clothes to wear, they may cultivate their aesthetic ability so that they may come to sense and appreciate beauty in their living. Thirdly, when forced to wear uniforms, some children may easily foster psychological rebellion.

 

But conflicting voices are gaining weight, whose supporters assert that it is significant for adults to render proper guidance over children’s growth in this period. Since people are living in a society, children should be trained to have collectivism and learn to abide by the rules and regulations. Furthermore, school uniforms make the appearance of a unit in order and neat, which may remind the children to refrain themselves from misconduct. Lastly, school uniforms give the children a sense of belonging, which maybe be positive for the development of their personalities.

 

There is probably a little bit of truth in both arguments and the opinions stated by both sides make sense, and consequently, it’s hard to choose the best of them. Personally, I second the former in favor to the latter and hold that young children should grow up in a more natural environment.
